Reasonable? Uh, no. Creepy and weird.
But, ya know, if that's what my old mother needed to be happy, I might do it, too. Old people get very attached to their pets, even dead ones. Moving at that age isn't fun, and I doubt it was her idea in the first place. If she's being forced to move from the home where she lived for the last 50 years and raised a family, then I can see wanting to take something--even dead animal bones--with her.
Yeah, it's weird, but what can you do? After all, a boy's best friend is his mother.
Thanks for the really random and bizarre question.
Hmm.. that is very generous of you Wise-Ass to try and find some way to make the exhuming of Momma's pets seem somewhat normal, but it isn't. It's fucked up.
I don't get why it is that weird. They are just bones. Hard shells of calcium and other minerals. I agree with WA if it makes her happy what is the problem. No one is getting harmed.
The mother only lived in the rental house for a few years, and she's around 60 years of age. I like that you refer to me as Norman Bates' girl; a family member said the same thing! Hahaha!
Aww..., I think that is sweet. (I'm a pet owner & I totally get it.)
It's only mortifying if HE came up with the idea... he can't help what his mother wants.
There is a saying about how you can tell how a man will treat you by the way he treats his mama... If the dude is willing to pacify his mom by doing such an unusual thing just to make sure she's at peace, then I would feel pretty comfortable thinking he would also go to great lengths for me, too.
