Great question! And one that I think applies to all couples, not just "uber geek" and "not so geek." Couples don't have to share all their interests, but it's important to have some crossover. As my girlfriend is more Project Runway than Heroes, I can relate.
Here's what I think you should do:
Find something you can both "geek out" over
There is probably something you both like that can be enjoyed together. For instance, my girlfriend and I both really like Mad Men. We make a habit of making dinner and watching it together on Sundays. We do the same with The Office, 30 Rock, Lost, and FlashForward. We also both really like new and old school hip hop, and bond over that. And, we're both crazy foodies, and love finding new restaurants and trying out new recipes. (Well, she tries them. I'm a better eater than cook-er.) She's not all that into comics or geek stuff, but we've found other things to mutually "geek out" about.
Throw a theme party
Why not combine your interests and throw an awesome theme party for friends? Let him pick the theme (zombies, '80s movies, video game characters, etc.) and select movies to show or music to play, while you prepare themed treats and decorations. Maybe make costumes together. Put both of your interests to work towards a fun common goal. Before you know it, your vampire cupcakes will be all your friends talk about.
Try something new
As I mentioned recently, my girlfriend is really into the Scott Pilgrim comics. She wasn't a comic book fan before we met, but now she really enjoys certain titles. Chances are, you'll find something to like among his interests. Ask him to recommend a comic book, or teach you how to play his favorite video game. (There are tons of video games out there that are fun for couples--just check out the Wii selection.) Likewise, get him involved in cooking, or spend a day together shopping at the local used bookstore or thrift shop. You'll be surprised how much crossover there is between your interests.
Good luck! Anyone else have suggestions for sharing interests with your boyfriend or husband? (It doesn't have to just be geek stuff.)

Theme Party is a cool idea. I had a sex toy/birthday party and my boyfriend helped out by making a slide show for our tv of animals having sex, plants that looked like genitals, etc and made a huge play list of sex related songs to listen to. It really added to the party while people ate penis shaped cake and boob cupcakes made by me and my twin. He focused on the nerd/computer related stuff and I focused on the treats but it all came together really well and I would have never thought of the slide show.
