I don't know about crazy, but that's some major, major trust issues right there.
I'm going to take a wild guess here and assume he got his heart broken by a former girlfriend, and she tried to blame the booze. Which sucks, but that doesn't give him the right to issue ultimatums.
Talk to him to find out why, precisely, he issued such a decree. Point out that you feel like he doesn't trust you, and you want to get past that. Beyond that, it's up to him, but to be honest, I don't see a relationship without mutual trust going very far.
My advice...dump the guy. If he is this controlling in one area of your life he is going to be just as/even more controlling in another area. I can see it going from "if you get drunk when you go out with your friends I'm going to dump you" to "if you go out with your friends I'm going to dump you." Just speaking from experience...

he's starting to show sign of controlling. If your not allowed to have fun and enjoy life because he's jealous, then it's not worth the effort. he's also insecure for not trusting you. honestly there's better man out there.
