my college boyfriend never pays for our dates.

Your college boyfriend should be your ex boyfriend as rapidly as possible.

Go find some sugar from a sweeter guy….

Tell him to man up or else you will find a real man who can pull his own weight

Now ya see, guys like that never get beyond a first date with me. Hell, if he even asks to "split" the check he will not be called back. Have some fucking standards.

NuNuSays

I agree. My college boyfriend worked and paid his own way through school and still managed to pay for dates. So there is no excuse for this.

I've known too many college guys who have had a full course set that worked to feed themselves, pay their rent AND their school that to hear someone's gonna starve themselves instead of working makes me think 'lazy ass'. So what if he's in college? What's he gonna do once he's out? Do the same? And he didn't get a food card to eat at the school cafeteria? That's also kinda lame.

Life's not kind. Gotta work your ass off to get anywhere. Sad to say, and I do realize this is mean, but there are people who aren't gonna be do understanding. What if this girls barely has money herself and is constantly shelling out for him? That can cause strains for her depending on her situation. A relationship is always a 50/50 equal thing. In everything.

He could plan a picnic or a hike. There are many things you can come up with.., that is.., if your cared.

Lazy @$$ is right…

'A relationship is always a 50/50 equal thing. In everything.'

Or at least that's the way it SHOULD be. In practice, this is rarely the case.

I have to admit, splitting the check is reasonable. But you paying for the entire bill (especially if he asked you out) in college is just unacceptable. I agree with MM. Find a good guy who'll take care of you.
