What exactly do you mean that you're a book hoarder?
Caveat: For some reason, the show Hoarders has totally gone mainstream. Everybody is talking about this show or referring to others as hoarders, etc. This slightly perplexes me, but then again, people love watching other's misery. Sadistic bastards.
Do you just own a lot of books or are you like a real book hoarder? Let's say I come to your house. can we walk through your living room without Robinson Crusoe and Gulliver waging war with all of the Lilliputians available on that particular day? If you're the type of person who's entire home is full of books and more books and it causes a hinderance to your activities of daily living, then yes its bad. That's the case with any type of hoarding. But if you just own more books than your bookshelves can handle but aside from the occasional, "damn that's a lot of books" nobody notices or even gives a flip - well, I think you're okay.
Has your ownership of books been a problem in your dating life? If so, you probably should meet some different people. Especially since I'm guessing that you're not really a hoarder. See, the thing about real hoarders is that they don't know it - or accept it - which is how they end up in the situation they're in. I'm guessing you just own a crapload of books (which is never a bad thing).
So no, its probably not a bad thing in your case.
I don't understand it. How is more books bad for you? If guys don't like books and you do, and they can't tolerate that you like books, then obviously you're not for them and they're not for you. What's the problem?
How can you even consider the possibility that having many books is a bad thing? -- I suspect you're a sham. I just bet you don't actually READ them, do you (seems evident from your grammar. "Im" doesn't exist unless you're talking about instant messaging -- the acronym. Use your apostrophes please). No respectable reader should even consider his/her ownership of books as a problem.
You seem intent on calling people out on their grammatical errors... and it makes you look really condescending. I sure hope that's work for you.
"Damn, that's a lot of books..."
I laughed until I cried. I'm a total book nut. I'm also a music hound, but that's a discussion for a different day...
Some guys freak out when they see how my bookshelves are double-stacked and overflowing, but there's a few out there who can match me written word for written word. And I love it. :)
(Yes, I'm aware that a colon and a right-side parenthesis is not grammatically correct, but if you tilt your head to the side, it looks like a happy face.)

I have seen people who suffer from compulsive hoarding and how hard it is for them to even recognize what affects them and their families.
