Grind fest?? Like a festival for grinding? I assume you mean physically grinding on someone while dancing and not the gaming term grinding which is repetitive, often annoying actions like killing a bunch of monsters in order to level up your character in World of Warcraft.
Where are these "grind fests" held? Do you rent out a convention hall? Is there a host? A DJ? Do people come in from out of town? "Oh, are you here for Grind Fest? Just flew in from Peoria myself. Mind if I grind on you?" Do people talk about previous Grind Fests? Is it like Comic-Con, where everyone makes fun of the Twilight fans and complains about how it isn't about comics anymore? "Man, Grind Fest '08 was the best! Just wall-to-wall grinding 24/7. Now it's all people hanging out and talking and getting to know each other with minimal grinding. What a bunch of sellouts!"
Look, guys really don't care how you grind. In fact, chances are they'll be doing most of the grinding. If it's one thing that guys are good at, it's grinding their crotch into things. As long as you have fun, you'll be fine. Just dance and enjoy yourself and the grinding will flow naturally. Feel the music. Be one with the grinding. And choose your grinding partner wisely. You don't want some gross guy rubbing against you and turning a fun evening at Grind Fest into the subject of a popular Saturday Night Live digital short.

I know it sounds weird, but make sure the guy you are grinding with does it respectfully. It's about having fun. For example I've heard/seen more than a few cases of girls being "finished on" while grinding with a guy...
And don't let a guy "accidentally" pull up your skirt/dress (if you wear one), unless you're ok with it. He should have at least some control of his hands!
