Her voice is amazing but I find it incredibly ridiculous that when she is skinny she goes around doing magazine covers, flaunting her body and how good it looks to everyone and anyone that will look and wants to praise her for it. then the SECOND she gains weight she wants the world to leave her alone and says its not right that people put her down for her weight gain?! YOU CAN"T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!! Don't flaunt your body so much when you think you look great because that gives people the right to comment on it when you start letting yourself go.
i'm with silky and nick on this one too. it does look like some spray tanner gone bad, and come one now, anybody that has tried that at least once knows there are more chances for error with those products than there are benefits sometimes. i am sure anybody that has had to go in front of any group of people to present anything, never mind do an Etta James tribute, wouldn't appreciate being picked apart publicly over a beauty slip. she is still stunning here, so elegant. it's just mean.
Sorry guys, but the woman is a bitch. Hollywood is tiny and people remember the things you say, especially the bad, and she was not very nice to many people especially fat people. Basically if it was the otherway around...she would be the first to point and laugh. Karma comes in spray tans too!
I'm with Alice on this one. Her history shows that when she's was dirrty skinny, she was plenty mean to fat people. Doesn't give the excuse to treat her horribly, but at the same time, she doesn't get a pass on normal criticism.
And criticize I will- not the spray tan, bc like chrissie said, it can happen to anyone, and a heavier woman who is nervous will not be spared. No, I'm going to go the route of criticizing her clothing options. Really, Christina? You wear an ill-fitting suit that gapes down to your breastbone where we can all see, every time you bend over with soul, that you are wearing a pink bra. Classy. Next time, wear something that doesn't look uncomfortable, and please cover up the bra. This is the funeral for Etta James, not Linda Lovelace.
Also, her voice? Yeah, it's pretty amazing, but it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. It's too heavy and covered up now with whatever she's putting down her throat. I'd love to hear the old Christina, pure sound, clean voice.
I don't care about the cleavage, though maybe a black bra would have been better for a cleaner look. What bothered me was that her suit looked like it needed to be ironed. One size bigger on the skirt probably wouldn't have hurt either, but I maintain that the biggest faux pas was that the whole outfit looked wrinkled and unkempt, Did no one think to steam or iron it?

Not to take the focus off of Christina, whose voice is still awesome despite her fashion felonies, but there are many worse things in entertainment to bitch about than her "over tan"...!
This looks exactly like my period when I have a heavy flow. Unfortunate, embarrassing and yea I would probably use the spray tanner as an excuse too.

It is normal for some people. Women with hypothyroidism tend to have heavier periods, for instance. Of course only a doctor can determine this, but there is a range of "normal" for people. For some of us, unfortunately, heavy is normal. I'm more than happy to be going through menopause and getting rid of mine.
And since I'm going through menopause, it's probably obvious that I'm a curmudgeony old beeyatch that doesn't give a damn if someone thinks it's WTMI that I shared this.

EVERYBODY should ease up on the spray tanner. The stuff is crap and does not look good on anybody.
As far as Christina Aguilera's weight, it's ridiculous to assume that people remain the same weight all their lives. They don't. She's older, she now has a fuller figure, so the fuck what? This awful culture where we judge everyone on their appearance causes young people to hate their bodies and develop eating disorders. I've struggled with bulimia since I was 13. I'm almost 50 now. This problem has been around for a long time but I think it's even worse these days.
The perfect people we see are all airbrushed. Got it?
Christina should have given the spray tanner a pass and a funeral is no place to be exposing that much cleavage. Her choice of attire was a miss. But shut the hell up about the woman's body type already.
It's not that Christina is or isn't ugly, fat, gross or any other shallow judgmental opinion. The problem is the compounding obvious that she is loosing talent over time. Her voice is not holding up (if it was ever really there to begin with) and she is becoming more dependent upon large production, back-up, and loud music to distract the audience. In addition, her holier-than-thou attitude and insistence of coaching up-and-coming vocalists into her own bad habits is appalling. Even worse is when she voices her negative input to Voice contestants who already have more talent with a microphone than she. She reminds me of Simon on Idol, opinion without justification but a success based on the Pop Music industry that is perpetuated by sheep who listen to whatever they are told to.
