Yeah, seriously. Everyone has been saying that. Watch the trailer and let's discuss.
First off, YES PLEASE. It's like Game of Thrones plus Ever After plus Thor. I'm so seeing it even if it's terrible.
As for Kristen Stewart, it's not like she's unattractive or anything. It's just that asking us to buy that she's more beautiful and desirable than Charlize Theron is a bit much. Particularly since her acting is so stiff while Charlize is all ravishing and blonde and sucking the life force out of people and taking nude baths in oatmeal or something like Angelina Jolie in Beowulf. Clearly this is a case of Hollywood banking on youth and having it backfire spectacularly. Younger doesn't always equal hotter, Hollywood.
It's interesting how Hollywood is trying to update all these fairy tales (see Once Upon a Time) while still keeping some of the outdated messages. I'm surprised that they didn't change the whole "who's the fairest of them all?" thing to something more modern like "who's the bravest?" or "who can balance work and home life?" Yeah, the Evil Queen is supposed to be vain, but there's more to vanity than someone being more beautiful than you. Seems like they're taking the easy way out and dropping some of the complexity of the Snow White tale in favor of-- WHOA THOR CHOPPED SOME DUDE'S HEAD OFF!
Also, it's a shame that it's yet another movie where Kristen Stewart is being protected by a man. At least there's one shot of her with a sword. Hopefully she'll actually do something for once instead of quivering her lips and exhaling dramatically.
OMG i TOTALLY AGREE!! There is NO way Kristen Stewart is ever going to be more beautiful than Charlize!! I think its so obvious and dumb that the producers picked Kristen Stewart, i mean really?! just because she is famous from the Twilight series? thats the ONLY reason they cast her.
The trailer actually looks badass. But yeah, K. Stew ain't gonna do it. They should have picked Liv Tyler, now SHE is a gorgeous fair-skinned brunette (maybe a bit too old for the part though).
they should have chosen Megan Fox for Snow White
Man...now I want to see that movie. Haha.

That made me laugh out loud. It's true, and would be refreshing to see. As for Charlize vs Kristen? Child, please. Charlize is absolutely LUMINOUS on screen. I'm not sure who has the looks or the acting chops to go up against her. But Kristen Stewart? Snore.
I'm sorry but although Kristin Stewart seems like a nice enough person in real life, she can't act her way out of a cardboard box! She is absolutely terrible. Surely there are other young women in this age group who would have been better suited to the part.
that is the best movie trailer I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but yeah, Charlize > Kristen IMO.
well maybe the queens a more complex role, requires more than just breathing sexually, so thats why they cast it :)
Wow, you guys are weird. Clearly, the role of the queen is the larger and more complex role in the movie. Also, did no one watch and LISTEN to the trailer? Snow White was never said to be '"fairer" than the queen, just that she would "surpass" the queen someday. Funny how for people who groused about the message regarding women in the movie, you totally miss that and just project you own misconceptions based on the original story onto something which seems to be a minor aspect of this retelling.
She asks the mirror who is the fairest... and it says Snow White will surpass her. Thus, Snow White will be fairer than the queen.
Wait, there's ANOTHER movie about Snow White? With Julia Roberts? Called "Mirror, Mirror"? Wtf, Hollywood.
