The morning after a drunken hookup that included cuddling and lots of sweet words, I proceeded to throw up on the way to breakfast. It wasn't on him or in his car... still, how high are the chances I am now viewed as "that girl who threw up"? How embarrassed should I be?

Aww. I wouldn't worry. It happens to everyone. This one time I got really drunk at a family reunion. The next morning, I was hating the world. Just my luck, the big family brunch was at a BBQ place. I pity the poor cleaning staff who had to service the men's room on that particular Sunday morning.

It's not like you were puking the whole night. Sounds like you guys had fun. (A lot of fun in the alcohol department.) And sometimes that come with a rough morning. If anything, he probably felt bad for you and was wondering if you were okay. Women worry that the things that make them human and relatable will be a turn off to a guy. The reality is, he'll respect you more for laughing off, say, the fact that you got sick from drinking than hiding it and feeling guilty. So don't worry about it. Unless you puked in front of his mother, Obama, and Alec Baldwin at a presidential dinner on live TV, there's no way a guy would ever label you "that girl who threw up." The fact that your night of tequila didn't agree with you the next morning isn't going to change the fun time you had together.

If the guy liked you it won't matter. I once had one of my (FORMER) best guy friends cancel on me on my BIRTHDAY, that son of a.. *ahem* so this guy I'd been talking to said he was going to make my birthday amazing - and it was our first date and first time meeting. He took me out to eat, bought me flowers and came with me to my brother's band's show. He treated me to drinks all night long and Bacardi + birthday cake he surprised me with at dinner + jumping around at a rock show = no bueno. On the way home I threw up all over the outside of his newly washed truck. Out the window. ON THE HIGHWAY. I wanted to die. He called me the next day to check on me and asked me out again. When a guy likes a girl a little vomit won't get in the way. ;) Like Nick said, laugh it off. I did and it was okay. Good luck =)

Funny how she’s worried about being labeled “that girl who threw up” instead of “that girl who does drunken hookups”

Selena

LOL! I love your reply =)

But the guy also had a drunken hook-up. So that wouldn't really be a fair label.

I don't think he care about labels....

i have a similar story, the night my crush (now bf) came to our housewarming party and stayed the night with me (nothing beyond making out happened). the next morning i was so sick i couldn't go to my second day of work! didn't throw up on anyone, i was just so embarrassed. but he made sure i was okay and even asked one of my roommates to get me something from Tim Horton's. then when he was done work he came back with soup for me. :) and that's how we started dating :p so don't worry about it ;)

I wouldn't worry about it. That's how my best friend gets all her boyfriends; she ends up drinking ALOT, pukes on the guy, the guy feels bad ends up taking care of her, and after that they start dating. She's done this multiple times.

Now that I think about it, my first semi-date with my boyfriend was when he was sick as a dog. He was jokingly asking me to bring him soup, and I told him to go to this one place in our town to get some. He pulled the "But I don't have anyone to go with!" card, and we ended up meeting there. He didn't puke there, but he did later, poor thing.

Don't feel bad. Back in my younger days I got hammered on Cutty Sark and puked in a gutter. Another time I ended up vomiting behind a 7-11. Classy!
