You've forgotten the third possible choice: he's a stalker.
There's no coincidence in passing somebody four times in an hour. Absolutely none. Hell, if I pass somebody at my job four times in a day just through the hallway I think something's up. I change my whole routine. I believe in conspiracies.
Of course he's interested. He's just too scared to talk to you and is hoping that you will somehow decide to say, "hey, I just saw you walk by four times in the past hour, would you like to go on a date?" He wants you to do the work because he's too scared to actually say something to you. He's passive aggressive. He's pulling chick moves as well. Women are supposed to do the "glance and turn" move. Guys are supposed to see it, acknowledge it, and recognize it as a green light to come and talk.
Thing is, it might work. You're writing in and asking a question here so there's a very good chance that you will do all his work for him one day and just talk to him like..."so, I see you checking me out."
Maybe it's part of his game. Either way, he's interested. He's just lazy.
Scared, and a bit of a wuss, but MAYBE not lazy, that would seem to take quite a bit of effort on his part to spend so much of his time trying to get her to notice him.
Sometimes I like to stalk people around campus to see if they notice. I'm not as committed as this guy though so kudos to him. There has to be real interest to be that omnipresent when you are having you bench time. My goal is to pick a random person and follow them to their destination. If they leave that one fairly quickly, repeat the process. If not, well look for new prey.
That's creeeeepy...., on many levels.
