I thought it was a pretty overblown from an artistic standpoint and frankly pretty boring. Well, all except the faces of the unsuspecting parents in the background who had to witness this odd woman walking around disrobing in the middle of the street. The curiousity and outrage on some faces was entertainment enough to make me watch it all the way through once...

...but never again.

For those not in the know, perennial "deep" songstress and neo-soul godmother Erykah Badu shot a video for her song, "Window Seat" guerilla-style in Dallas where she stripped to her birthday suit while unknowing "extras" tried to understand why this Black woman was going nude with a doo-rag on.

Anyway, I think that Erykah was trying to be deep but wasn't but she knows controversy and this video was a big hit...for a day. After all, the video isn't very good so everybody got over it REALLY quickly.

This is also further proof that all art is not good. There's a running misconception amongst the artsy society of America that all art should be appreciated and I disagree. Ungood is ungood, no matter what "talent" goes into it.

She's got a phat booty though. Pretty hot and tempting. And that is art that IS worth appreciating. And that's all you can really ask for. Something to latch onto. So in that sense, thank you Erykah Badu, for going nude for no good reason when the song doesn't match the video.
