"She isn't even that cute" is what a douchebag troll with a tiny weenus says after a girl fails to fall for his Ed Hardy-wearing, Axe body spray-reeking charms. Sexist pigs love to throw this one around to put down women who reject them. Usually it plays out like this:
Douchebag #1: Heard you struck out with Melanie at Clutch (bar frequented by the Jersey Shore gang) last night. Denied!
Douchebag #2: Whatever. She isn't even that cute.
Translation: She is definitely that cute. In fact, 30 seconds ago, I was planning to make this gorgeous beauty the future Mrs. Douchebag. Sadly, my offer of a Red Bull and vodka was spurned, therefore I must insult her to hide the fact that I am actually an insecure waste of space with the IQ of a mollusk.
It's the ultimate assclown tactic. The douchebag's pride is wounded, so he retreats to the old chestnut of, "she thinks she's hot, but she ain't all that." It's a way of taking power away from the person who has called the douche out of his doucheitude and/or ignored him entirely. It doesn't matter how smart, witty, or successful the woman is-- the douchebag can always retract his previous statement about her level of attractiveness in an attempt to make himself feel better. (You will also find this sort of attitude amongst schoolyard bullies and Internet trolls.)
Do not worry about whether it means he thinks you're cute. Sure, yes it means he thinks you're cute. In fact, it means he thinks you're hot, and is threatened by you. It also means that he is a guy that you should avoid at all costs. As douche flags go, throwing around statements like "she isn't even that cute" is about as clear as you can get.

Don't ever let that line make you feel bad. It's just a way for an asshole to compensate for his balls crawling back up into his scrotum.
Ever heard the fable of the fable of the fox and the grapes? It applies here.
What if for example: you and your boyfriend are out with friends and said friends marvel at the beauty of a woman and your boyfriend says to you "she isn't even that cute"
does this make him a douchtard/bag for not admitting what is obvious? or a great boyfriend for remembering that you are still around?
just curious.
Good boyfriend, though he shouldn't have to rip on another woman just to make you feel better. He could just say, "No one is as cute as you, sweetie" or, better yet, say nothing at all. Why is he commenting on another woman in your presence in the first place?
Gooood question! I'll look into it :)
Question reminds me of the scene in Dumb & Dumber when the chick tells Lloyd that his odds of dating her are a million to one, and he's all excited. "So you're saying I have a chance!"
Hahaha! Big Gulps huh? Well, see ya later!
