Being mammals, women are quite capable of having hair around the nipples. For many, hair is the bundle package you get when signing up to be human. It's like the triple play of Cable, Internet and landline: we need two of the three and sometimes have to suck it up and accept the useless phone-/body hair.
Though not particularly PC, you don't need a PC or PHD to know some ethnicities -- on the whole -- are hairier then others. If a woman has hairy arms, hairy toe knuckles and a slight corner mustache, she's rather likely to have some hair around the nipples.
What guys think of this, varies. Today's beauty ideal isn't too keen on women with fur. If it were 1967 or 1467 body hair might be "cooler," but these days the mags and TV shout otherwise: Shave it, bleach it and electrocute those follicles 'til they beg for mercy.
But in the real day-to-day world, it's not so damn critical. What do most women think of men with "a little" potbelly, "a little" hair thinning, "a little" acne, or "a little" penis? They think "Eh, who cares. I like this guy. Quite a lot; much more than "a little."
The world of "Perfect" is for Photoshop and women's gymnastics. Think of your she-whiskers as nothing more than your nipples' loyal bodyguards.
Sometimes it baffles me how easygoing men are about body flaws. Actually, it's quite awesome!
That isn't a body "flaw" - it's just a body! I would drop a lover in a second if that genuinely bothered them. And so should you. :) Don't worry about meeting some crazy standard, know that the decent people you date will not care about this trivial nonsense because as was wonderfully pointed out, they're human too.
As a woman, as a person, you will have tiny hairs everywhere. Even if you don't think you've got them round your nipples, look closer! We have hair on our legs, hair on our bajingos, hair on our toes, hair everywhere, because we are mammals.
I think I'm one of a very confused minority that genuinely doesn't understand why for centuries we've pretended to be something that we're not. Plucking and waxing and tampering here there and everywhere. I just don't get it. All that is part of what being human entails, and I like it. :)
"That isn't a body "flaw" - it's just a body!"
^^^ Best quote I've heard in a long time. I love that attitude!
To a certain extent the funkiness is part of the fun!
Pluck the dark ones! I do, for me more than anyone else. It doesn't hurt and I feel much less self-conscious...
This was a perfect answer. Thank you!!
