Let me be clear about this upfront: I think breaking up with somebody to prove a point is the absolute dumbest thing you can do. Especially if you still want to be with them.
And you still want to be with him, eh? Well, all you can really do is tell him that you broke up with him and it was a bad idea and one caused by emotion at the time but you do need him to realize that you need more of his time. Then you HOPE he says, "okay, baby, let's get this thing right and I'll work on spending more time with you."
Thing is, the ball is in his court now. You broke up and are regretting it. He's not. He's probably a little upset that you broke up with him. So maybe he misses you and will want to smell your neck again. If it were me though, I'd be like, cool, I'm out. Like I said, I hate "break ups on principle". There are better ways to teach people lessons than dumping them in hopes that they will see the errors of their ways and fix the problem. Passive-aggressive is annoying and that's what you pulled.
So yeah, all you can do is go to him and say you want to be back together and hope he agrees. If not, well, it's your fault and you'll have to find another tree to bark up.
It was written.
I totally agree. Relationships are built on communication, and if you considered breaking up with your man before even talking to him, it's your loss. if you're an adult, you should be able to act like one. Leave the high school drama back where it belongs.
