In a world where SO many women complain that men aren't honest, why in the hell would you be trying to figure out what to do here. ANY time a man says that you're too good for him, he means that he knows he'll cheat on you or won't treat you as good as you need to be treated so its best that you two just keep things on a friendship level. Point blank. Period.
So what you do is shake his hand, or give him a boob hug, and use him as a sounding board or advisory board on men that you might be dealing with in the future. And the love part? You'll get over it. Trust me.
This is the reason that so many men think women are insane. You want honesty and truth, then you get it and still try to find a way around it so that it "works" in your favor, which isn't really a good thing but moreso just a way for you to get what you think you want until you realize it's not what you want anymore, except you'll bitch and moan and complain that he's not acting right or treating you like a lady when the dude was honest and upfront in the first place.

this is true..
the only thing i dont like is how BFF seems to blame the woman...its true a guy will tell u that he may not deserve u, but then he continues to persue the you...thats sending mixed messages..if the guy is being so honest, then he shud stop persuing the girl that he is not good enuf for, along with the woman being strong enuf to move on.
In this instance, I have no clue if dude is pursuing her. She said she's in love with him but he's saying he's not good enough for her. With this limited pool of knowledge, it sounds like she's attemping to circumvent his words. If we had more info, perhaps I'd answer differently...but here??

I just have to say that if a guy tells you that you are just too good for him and is using this as an excuse to not be with you, he doesn't really think you are too good for him, he just doesn't want to be with you! Personally, i think this is one of the nicer ways for a guy to tell you to get lost. So, take a hint, suck it up, and get over it. He doesn't want you!
