Cute enough, but overrated.
Newish jeans, a pretty T-shirt, a light coat if it is raining, a sweater if it is cool. I am not going to get her Keds off her without using a crowbar and the Dad threats, so shan't even try.
Only thing I am fussing over for first day of school is hair and lunches. We got her a very pretty barrette and a trip to the hairdresser, and her lunch will be her favorite food (a thermos of cream of mushroom soup, a tuna and caper sandwich and a fruit salad, she is a rather strange child) to reassure her that Mom and Dad still love her.
As far as clothes go - well, they are going to play, get messy and probably fight, so why worry over much. I'd rather she had fun.
and here i thought i was the only one left that liked tuna and caper lol sounds like a very special first day. what is it with kids and the shoes these days? i have a little boy so the first day outfits are even less of a challenge, but the shoes i don't even get a say in lol he bought his sketchers or whatever they are called with his own allowance so he's not hearing any of it from me and he's " practically 9" lol
