I think it's kind of hot, actually, and funny. I mean, cursing someone out isn't funny (unless they're an a-hole* who deserves it), but cursing for comedic effect in conversation is always cool with me. Sure, there's a time and a place. I would prefer that you not swear like a sailor in front of my parents, or at a funeral or something, but otherwise I'm down with it. I curse for comedic effect (or, say, when I stub my toe) a lot. I try not to, but it happens, so I can't expect my female friends and girlfriend to be Polly Prettymouth all the time.
This also goes to the ol' "women are unfairly held to different standards than men" thing. Men can curse like longshoremen (why do seafarers use such salty language?), and no one bats an eyelash. Meanwhile, women are expected to be demure and speak like characters in Jane Austen novels. F--k** that! Curse up a blue storm, ladies! Unleash a string of profanities so filthy, dock workers will blush! (My apologies to anyone in the nautical industry. I'm sure you aren't all a bunch of cantankerous garbage mouths.)
So, in everyday, normal conversation, don't sweat it. As long as you're not constantly cursing people out (or berating customer service people, waiters, etc., for no reason), I wouldn't worry about it being a turn-off. I mean, if you're dating a priest, maybe curb it a bit. Though a priest cursing is pretty funny.

My roommates curse like sailors, and sometimes it honestly makes me embarrassed to be around them in front of others.
Maybe this makes me sexist, but I think it's really unnecessary and inappropriate for women to curse like that. In all fairness, I find it a huge turn-off when guys curse and think it's equally inappropriate. There's just something especially unattractive about that characteristic in a woman.
I know guys act all shocked and shaken when I curse, as if I'm the Virgin Mary or something. Granted, I'm not exactly innocent or anything, but I do try to watch it when my kid is around or I'm at work.
Be a lady. Don't curse. It only makes guys think you have a dirty mouth and that implies everything I am meaning it to.

well i am female and i do curse.. and yes i am also a perfect lady when need be but sometimes i like to break free of all the restrictions my southern baptist background puts on me..(by the way im now non-denominational(plus i cant spell so sorry to all you english people)).. sometimes things slip but i have respect for my elders meaning i have an angles mouth round them.. and i keep silent round children.. anyone who curses around the elderly and children and jus get really disgracefull with it is unattractive.. i always laugh when my guy friends look shocked when i curse lol ^-^
i personally think women cursing is great. i curse a lot, and i prefer my women to be able to let loose a few choice 4 letter words whenever she can.
I think it all boils down to being yourself. If a guy finds it unattractive when you curse, then he's probably not going to like other things about you. Find someone else who appreciates you for who you are, and don't change because they say so, do it because you want to!
Personally, I am all for it. If it's okay for a man to curse just for the hell of it, then why shouldn't a women get to? Screw all of this "being a lady" crap, cause, to tell the truth, we aren't living in a nice little pure world anymore. I actually find it cute when my girlfriend cusses in a relaxed care-free way, it just adds to the humor of the situation. Now, I'm not saying that we should all run around dropping the F-bomb every single minute of every single day, because it can obviously get old VERY quickly. Time and a place people, time and a place. So yeah, there's nothing wrong with it, and if the situation calls for a good cuss word, then go for it. ;)
Oh and to the other guys that find it a turn-off, stop being so hypocritical! Again, we're not living in your grandma's world, so stop judging.
I personally think it is trashy when a girl swears alot. My sister has that problem and she is very pretty and i am always getting after her about it. But thats just me i like classy girls but spontaneous when alone. I have 3 girl roommates at school and from what i have heard and from experience girls are vicious and ruthless when it comes to other girls and some of the stuff they talk about is way worse then what guys talk about i can't believe some of the stuff i have heard my roommates talk about but then again most of the time they were joking around with eachother. After living with 3 women for 2 years i have become more aware of sexism in america. Women are the same as men. Just because a woman dosent have the same physical strength as a man dosent mean anything. Women tend to think more about decisions then men do i have noticed. But another thing i have noticed that i don't understand is women talk about other women in very bad ways but when they see them they are nice like they are firends. A man will avoid another man he does not like.

im a girl but i honestly think its ok to drop a bomb every once in a while. im not telling u to swear like a sailor but its ok to loosen up a bit. for example, when ur really frustrated, mad, or the usual situations where you would curse...maybe not curse at SOMEBODY but just at the situation? that doesn't seem so bad
My husband is a sailor (US Navy, 12 years, first class ET,) and I can actually confirm that we Naval Folk accept and embrace profanity even more than the stereotype implies.
It's only a turn off when there's no feeling behind it. Then you sort of get the impression that they're douching. And I hate douches; male or female.
