Are you asking me this because you are a teenage girl wanting to woo teenage guys? Or, are you asking me this because you are a 68 year old Cougar looking to woo teenage guys? Actually, I'm not sure that would affect my answer.

Teenage guys are just in the early stages of figuring out what they are interested in romantically, dating wise, sexually etc. They are very susceptible to outside influence, namely the media monster 24/7 telling them what's cool, what's hot and what's interesting.  Because of this, I know for a fact that teenage guys are interested in 3 types of girls (defined below). "The Kristen Stewart", "The Lindsay Lohan", and "The Betty White".

Kristin Stewart type: Bleak, mysterious, overly tortured. Modestly made-up, but stylish with a sort of left of center disposition. Teenage  guys like girls like this because they feel they can "discover" her in the library or coffee shop and "save" her from herself and the community at large. Guys like playing with candle wax and reading Edgar Allen Poe poems with chicks like this.

Linsday Lohan type: A mile-a-minute event and chaos machine .Trendy clothes, shifting make up, hair style, and overall looks are the trademark for this type. Put simply: Eerily confident, but/and bonkers. Teenage guys like girls like this because the sheer drama and energy of the girl makes them feel like something exciting and "alive" is happening. The Lohan type in a given town is the one who pulls the guy into a private room at the house party to make out,  then drags him on a hitch-hiking adventure to the local diner, where she throws her cheeseburger at the waitress, kisses a random girl and breaks her wrist falling down the icey steps in front of the joint.
 
Betty White type: This is not really a type. It's only Betty White. So, unless you're an 88 year old TV legend with impeccable comic timing and an unflinching, geriatric je ne sais quoi - Step off.

But above all, dear Reader, don't worry yourself trying to fit into one of these, "in the moment" types. Ideals shift, they are, for the most part ridiculous fads, like the cell phone and voting.
