Most ladies could answer this question with their subtle tricks and tips on how they find out if the guy has a girl.

For example, I suck at subtly, and not even on purpose!

I was at work and a guy came up to the counter with his purchases. I told him he could grab one more thing and get $10 off. So he grabbed some jewelry (necklace and matching earrings), and then I gave him the coupon. I asked him if it was for his girlfriend and he gave me THE look, Haha. Funny thing was, I was just curious and making conversation. I didn't even mean it in a way to see if he had one. I wasn't attracted to him in that way or anything, but he was fun to talk to. Anyway, point being, if I had been attracted to him in that way, it would have been a simple way to ask.

Just slip it into a conversation. There's no way to ninja assassin your way onto his Facebook while you stand face to face having a conversation.

Grow some balls and ask.

Damn you Girls BFF! I laughed at this in spite of myself. But seriously, I already know him a little, and won't it be a little obvious to ask him outright? I'm really too chicken to do that, and also too scared to make a move not knowing wether he has a girlfriend or not...
Is there really no way to put this subtly?

i have the same problem, but one of my friend had said to ask about his girlfriend if he doesn't have one he will tell you
