Love is the state of being where another's happiness and wellbeing is vital to, and far more important, than your own. It may or may not have a sexual component.

Great definition. :D
So then love is characterized by selflessness? No love can be selfish?
That sounds... creepy. Stalkeresque. Inhuman. I understand the sentiment of selflessness, but yikes.
Nice answer...
It doesn't mean you don't take care of yourself. If you didn't take care of yourself, then you are NOT thinking of the person you love in a healthy manner. How can you be there for them if you are sick? (even scripture says 'love...like you love your body'). It's a place where one is able to consider the greater good of the love beyond what one thinks they want for themselves. And often times the two can coexist :)
The only person or people whose "wellbeing & happiness" should be more important than your own is your children. If you put anyone other than your child above yourself, you don't truly love yourself. I will not ignore my own feelings for someone else and I don't think they should, either
