When do you think it's time for a guy to take down his online dating profile?

Well, that depends. Are you exclusive? If he's your boyfriend, there's no reason why he can't take the profile down once it becomes official. It's not like dating profiles aren't easy to make if God forbid anything goes wrong and you break up. If you're casually dating, he shouldn't be expected to take down his profile.

I'd say a few weeks to a month into being an official couple is a good time to remove the profile. Even if you don't use it, remove it. For one thing, it is so annoying for single people to come across a profile and contact someone only to find out they are in a relationship. Then why are you on OK Cupid/Match/HowAboutWe?? Having a profile on a dating site doesn't mean he's going to cheat, but it is kind of like having an escape route. It shows he's not fully committed. I've heard the argument that people keep their dating profiles on OK Cupid or wherever to communicate with friends they've made on the site. Right, because there aren't a billion other social networking sites to do that on.

A dating site should be for dating. Once you are no longer dating, delete the profile. Don't let it be a source of tension in the relationship. There's really no good reason to keep it once you're in a relationship. Again, you can always make another should you ever end up single again. But why have a physical reminder of your single days out there? Why let it be a problem? Delete and commit, folks.

Brilliant! Capital! Relationships can have enough tensions and issues without adding another reason.

Still, okc bills itself as more than just a dating site. You can be there to just find friends or play around with the tests, etc. Would changing your status and what you're looking for be enough?

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
