Yes and no. How's that for an answer? If he tells you he doesn't want to have a baby ever, for any reason, then no you should not take it personally. However, if he is open to having a baby just not with you then there's a problem. If that's the case you have more problems than just this one and you should definitely be exploring them.

Some people have their reasons for not wanting children. There could be mental illness that runs in his family (as well as other diseases you can pass down). It could be fear on his part. But if he's saying "I don't want to have children with YOU"...Then yeah, I think you need to talk to him about it. If having a child is a priority to you, this could make or break the relationship.
