The sad truth is that there are plenty of single, straight, available men in the city who sleep alone on a nightly basis. They are totally clueless to the fact that urban centers are a dude's paradise. Unlike rural and suburban areas, where women are married off by age 22 and have 3 kids and a station wagon by the time they are 28, city girls stay single until well into their 30s and early 40s. Many become desperate by roughly age 30, and that's when the fun begins. Unfortunately, many single guys aren't aware of this until it's too late -- i.e. once they are married. Do more to advertise your desperate state. Start with Nerve.com or Match.com.

Where are all the good men hiding? I live in NYC and they're definitely not here. They're either married, gay or both and have too many options available to them in this city.

Ew. So, right on Wise-Ass for calling MM out on his desperate comment. I mean I understand the sarcastic "keeping it real" tone but really...calling 30-year-old single urban-dwelling women "desperate? " On this site? Wow. To whoever asked this question: consider yourself lucky - I mean at least you're not in a relationship with a jerk who thinks of 30-something single women as desperate prey. By comparison, staying single sounds pretty sweet to me.

LOLOLOLOL actually, people DO still drive station wagons...I'M one of them! Hey, don't hate...I heart my Volvo! I can fit a bike & all kinds of crap in it! Of course, it kinda perplexes people when they 1st see it, they're like "oh, I didn't know you have kids" (I don't)! And 1 of my pals once called it man-deterrent. But, I'm happy to report that the last man I dated thought it was "cute" & said he'd be into me if I drove a grocery cart. LOL. So, yes. They still make station wagons...LOL.
Ha, that's awesome. Station wagons are so much cooler than SUVs. Every time I see a station wagon I want to hop in and go to McDonald's and get a Happy Meal.
New York?! That's where I want to move TO, there or Italy. Men ask me out all the time when I'm in either place and they are a whole lot nicer about it, if you think you have it bad, try London, we don't even have basic rations here, good, kind, upbeat, attractive straight single men are rare. Just move if it's that bad, that's what I'm doing. And I'm in my early 20s.
