Man oh man is there a brewing war between shorties and tallies or is it me? Am I missing something here? Are tall women and short women the new cultural divide in our society? I remember in middle school being consumed with height, but I didn't realize in today's dating turf wars it's still so prevalent. As for your question. The notion that opposites attract is not without merit. Some tall dudes bow their tall ass spines at the altar of short women. They love the contrast and all it entails. Likewise some tall men don't get off on that sort of thing. I'm not so sure there is an epidemic of tall chicks feeling their rightful tall men are being robbed from them, but I can imagine that tall women feel limited in the heights they can date. Many six foot women probably wouldn't choose to date under five ten or so, and thus their dating pool is limited and therfore some may feel it is under threat. As in, "Hey, Little Missy, flirt with someone your own size or only marginally taller." I will say, I think you, dear questioner, are feeding into the war, "adoring tiny miss figures." Are you trying to rattle the tallies? I'm no MJ, but it seems you wanna be startin' something. Remember: You can run -- but they can run faster!

I'm 5'2 and most of the guys I've dated have been well over 6'0 tall. What can I say? I like tall guys! I can attest to OP's complaint. I've gotten crap from tall girls for taking "their" men. I don't think it's an all tall girls or all short girls thing...some people have issue with it, others don't care.

i am a tall woman (5'10") and know what the "tall women" are feeling. I personally don't have issue with dating guy shorter than I do but I have found they have issues/are insecure about it. So if I want a relationship to work out the guy seems to need to be at least my height. There are quite a few guys taller than that but not all, and it does seem like so many of them go for short women, like under 5'5". Since those women could in theory date a guy who's 5'7" and still be shorter i can understand people wishing the short ones would date them and leave the tall guys for those taller but at the same time it's not "stealing". Nobody has claim on anyone else, and those short women have every right to go after who they like. It's just frustrating for taller women who's pool is smaller to see that.
