You can blame it on the rain. You can blame it on the al-al-al-alcohol.
Blame it on Kanye West.
But the real blame for this (assuming it’s true – and I’m not so sure it is) would lie in society’s dubbing of the man as the breadwinner and the one ultimately responsible for ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of his loved ones.
Control comes out of a need make sure that things happen the way we want them too. If you deal with a controlling man it’s probably because he was either taught this at home (told to man up and take care of his responsibilities) or he had people around him who lived in utter chaos and he’s finding a way to counter that by attempting to control everything.
Or maybe you’re just dealing with jealous guys who never learned how to share or play fair.
You know, if you think about it as well, control is also a defense mechanism. Some people are just afraid to not be able to direct and control every facet of their life so they must be in control at all times to ensure, in their mind, the optimum output.
There are a million reasons, but I’m not so sure this is even true. Men and women have control issues. But alas, we all need something to gripe about.
