Why does my boyfriend chew with his mouth open?

It could be that your boyfriend has an unusually large jaw, which forces him to chew with his mouth open, but, it's much more likely that he does this in hopes that the sound of his chewing will block you out. Do this: Next time you are eating dinner together, try not to say anything annoying for several minutes. If he begins to chew with his mouth closed, then in the future be less irritating. If this doesn't work, look into having his jaw wired shut, thus requiring him to sip out of a straw. Either solution will solve your problem.

I chewed with my mouth open until middle school when I got my adnoids removed. I didn't even realize I was doing it. Does your guy sound really nasally? He may just not have enough air flow to breath.
