Who says guys don't like leggings? In fact, a certain skeezy hipster clothing company built their entire image on the assumption that women want to wear leggings, and men want to see them wearing said skintight leggings. What guy has a problem with a woman basically not wearing pants? An entire generation of women are dressing like Jennifer Beals in Flashdance. How is that not awesome?
Seriously, any guy who isn't pro-leggings is not worth your time. What else is he against? Delicious candy? Werewolves playing basketball? Clearly he is not on board with things that are fun for everyone.

I'm sure they'll say that they're tired of seeing them on every woman; that they're more appropriate for the gym, or too '80s. First of all, nothing can ever be too '80s. Okay, maybe this video. And while I can see how the trend is waning a bit, again, it's like she went out in public without pants. And that never goes out of fashion.
That said, men cannot wear leggings. Just because Russell Brand does, that doesn't mean you can. (Russell Brand is also starring in a remake of Drop Dead Fred, so perhaps his judgment isn't exactly the most sound.) And these so-called "meggings" are just ridiculous. They look like pantaloons.
So wear your leggings with pride. Just like the Solid Gold Dancers.

I can totally relate to this question! At 5'3/115 lbs I run the risk of looking 11 when wearing them! Leggings are so comfy, though, that I forced myself to figure out how to make them work. It's all about balance, I've found. Wear black ones with a wispy top with good tailoring (around the bust, shoulders, sleeves, etc). Since leggings lack structure, it's important that the top has it. I like pairing mine with high heeled booties, too. I've found that guys really respond to tailoring, structure & fit (even if they don't realize it). A have a couple of well-fitting short peacoats that guys always compliment me on, for example (I think it's fit & construction guys subconsciously appreciate).
victoriassecret.com & Anthropologie have some good options in tops.. Just know that guys aren't usually turned on when you wear them tucked into Uggs with a knit top & sweatshirt. Girls often go too frumpy with leggings, I think!

Also, I forgot to add that I'm not a huge fan of gold leggings. My nerdy mind just thinks of C-3PO whenever I see them. But I'm pro most other colors.
yeah, colors in general in leggings are...strange. but, hey, i think a woman who is confident in her clothes (whatever they are) is sexy & i suspect a lot of men would agree.

i agree with the not wearing them as pants, i wear them under a skirts or something but not by themselves, to me it seems slutty or just plain odd to do..., but then again thats just me
It’s time that we ALL wear leggings. Get over the fashionista and body image constraints and just wear them. You know you want to, you know they’ll be more comfortable than the constrictive clothes you wear now. Go for it. Enjoy leggings and wear them. Choose a well made pair - not with cotton fibers that bag out over time but a high tech fiber that retains its shape. Go for the comfort and support. Leggings that go to the ankle have a greater positive visual aesthetic than capri style that chop the leg. I think that guys may say they don't like leggings but when it comes down to it it's about whether you look good in them or not. There is definitely a fine line between looking good and looking bad ... there is not much in the middle. My wife is 5'4. 120 with athletic legs, and she looks great in them. I hope she wears them to bed tonight actually, it would work out really well for her if she did. That's about the proportion you want, all other things being equal. But if there's any bulging etc., then something less revealing is best. Skinny jeans can work for a little heavier but another 10-15 lbs and a little looser is going to be more flattering.

LOL Nick, if you think leggings aren't for guys, then you must be one of those cowards who dream about wearing leggings on the street but are too afraid of what people might think about you. Here's my two cents, grow some balls and learn NOT to give a damn about what others think.
Having posted almost two years ago, it is a wonderful time to relate that many more women AND men are enjoying wearing leggings. They live in many places around the planet.
Just wear leggings and experience the comfort. Get beyond the body image constraints and realize that we all come in many shapes, sizes and permutations. The time has come for us to rejoice in that fact and enjoy that we are human beings and to be comfortable and happy in who we are.

Leggings are in, yes wearing them can come off trashy if you don't do it right that's why most people wear them with a longer shirt. I am very athletic and so I love wearing them with boots or bootie heels then a longer shirt that covers my but and a scarf with a nice cited jacket. Actually I think I will wear that tomorrow.

i love leggings and sometimes i dont have it cover my whole butt but i always make sure to cover crotch area bcuz otherwise its kinda trashyyyy. but like a tight tshirt with leggings doesnt work.....but like a bigger sweatshirt or thicker material that doesnt always have to neccessarily cover your butt looks much better.
I love wearing leggings because they are so comfortable and flexible plus they look good. My boyfriend loves to see me wearing them, it turns him on. He has nice legs too, so sometimes I insist on him wearing my leggings around the apartment. He complains but not much! Iknow he likes it. Our dressing up sessions always lead to intimate fun.
