Isn't that always the case? One of life's absolutes-- along with death, taxes, and Kelsey Grammar making yet another TV comeback-- is that men and women are always more desirable once they're in a relationship or married. Men in particular: having a girlfriend, fiancee, or wife shows that someone wants you and that you aren't a totally undesirable schlub of loser-suck. Plus, now that you're about to be permanently taken off the market, the guys who took you for granted in the past are suddenly starting to see you in a new light.
You know the whole "we want what we can't have" thing? That kicks in big time for some people once an ex gets married. Particularly for guys. Unless the break-up was of the "I never want to see you again" variety, a single guy sort of considers any ex who isn't in a serious relationship or married to be a potential hook-up. You never know, you could fall in love with us again. (Or at least get drunk and nostalgic enough to end up in our bed and/or on the futon that you always hated back when we were dating for one more night.) But once you're engaged, that's it. (Well, that's not always it, but you get the idea.)
Suddenly we can't drunk dial you at 2am. Suddenly, we wonder what would have happened if we hadn't been such a jerk-knob who is too lazy and cheap to buy a real bed when we dated you. If only things had gone differently, maybe we would be walking down the aisle with you right now instead of playing Super Nintendo on our futon. Of course, we were too chicken s--t to actually propose to you back then, but now that you're about to be taken away from us forever, we realize the error of our ways and would do anything to get you back (even though we would probably just end up screwing it up again).
And, yes, it sucks royally. It was one of the many stupid, crappy things that guys (and also women) do. It's just one of life's great "f you"'s. When you're single, nothing. But once you're days away from the altar, everyone comes out of the woodwork. Best thing you can do is to take the sudden attention as a compliment, and also as proof that you should not be with those guys. You are about to get married to a (presumably) awesome guy who was man enough to (forgive me, Devore) "put a ring on your finger that is between the middle finger and the pinkie." (Is that how the popular song goes?) Enjoy this little "ghosts of boyfriends past" flashback, and go show them all by having an amazing wedding that they'll have to see pictures from on Facebook.

You...are...my...hero!!! I cant believe something like this exists on the internet! Its so true, so honest, and more than that you dont sound like an idiot! Finally, someone who knows how to talk about a subject without sounding like a kid who didnt get that bike he wanted for Christmas.

Stepehen, Sammy Sosa does need to be taken to court. I agree. However, people are very tired of this nonsense. In my mind, I dont really care what happens to either of them. Why? Because in my mind, and in my heart, I know that they deserve less credit than they would have had if found to be clean throughout their careers. Bonds is a hall of famer regardless. We all know from looking at Sammys size and numbers that he did not do roids his entire career, but did when he was setting records. He deserves to be chastised by the baseball community for lying to every fans face, by pretending to be something he wasnt. He got everyone in the world to buy-into his pseudo-Roger Maris-like-hitting, and acted like a saint, like baseballs golden boy. Shame on him, as you say.
