Sure. In fact, there's a lot of reason to be hopeful: let's take it in reverse.
The divorce rate in the US has held fairly steady, but the statistic you usually hear, that half of all marriages end in divorce, is hugely misleading. Once you factor out the people who get married to multiple people (or get married to each other multiple times), the real rate is more like 25%. Also, the divorce rate is actually dropping right now, although whether that's because divorce is expensive or because of something else is under debate.
Secondly, all the people you know insisting love doesn't exist will be married suburbanites within ten years. It's preordained.
Thirdly, and this is a hobbyhorse of mine, there is absolutely nothing you can learn from most romantic comedies about genuine human relationships, so I wouldn't worry about what Hollywood thinks.
Buck up, my friend, love is still alive and all around. We'll all be fine, you included.
I think the Reformed Player answered this very well. :D
