Ha! No, he's not gay. Or maybe he is, but not because he watched royal wedding coverage. As a straight man who was up at the crack of dawn Friday to cover the event for work, I can attest that people of all ages and walks of life were watching. In fact, 22 million of them watched in the U.S. alone. A million people were at the Mall in London to watch. From 5am until about noon, my Twitter feed was nothing but comments, news, and jokes about the royal wedding. It's safe to say it wasn't just gay men, women, and Brits watching.
Yes, there are bigger things going on in the world right now. But, like it or not, the wedding was an event. People tuned in for the spectacle. It isn't that crazy that he was caught up in the hoopla. Maybe he was legitimately interested or maybe he found the whole spectacle ridiculous and entertaining. When Michael Jackson died, I was glued to the TV for a couple days. I got caught up in all the tributes and craziness surrounding a musician who was part of my childhood. So it's not unreasonable that he would want to watch something that will be a part of history.
Now, what you should maybe wonder about is why he would rather rewatch the wedding than talk to you. Could be a sign that he's over the relationship. Ask him why he's ignoring you. Call him out on the fact that he never gets up early to do stuff with you, but he's up to see a ton of British ladies wearing big hats. But cool it with the stereotypical "he must be gay" assumptions. Unless he was making out with a Prince William lookalike while holding a sign that reads, "Honey, I'm gay," nothing about him watching the royal wedding coverage screams gay. If you're really worried about that, why not ask him? But I'd be more concerned with why he's avoiding you to watch some CNN correspondent mention Princess Di for the 4,000th time this week.

You know why no guy ever says, "My girlfriend stayed up until 1am watching a Red Wings' playoff game. Is she a lesbian?" Because that's just stupid.
This is kinda like how jerks say that, oh she must be lesbian, when a girl turns them down.
Also who said it was Prince William he was checking out? Maybe there was an imaginative affair with Kate, that he was bidding goodbye to ;)
Give the guy a break and stop reading into it, what after being with him for so long you suspect him to be gay now? And for what, for being into a royal wedding, sorry sugar but that doesn't raise bars in the gaydar.
If people were to make assumptions like this, then maybe I would be classified as lesbo, for being into classical sports cars. While ignoring what factors could make me like cars to start with, maybe having 5 brothers influenced my love for classical sports cars.
I'd like to think she was teasing on the gay thing...
Watching a wedding doesn't make a man gay. Watching "Greek Boy Cum Shots II" does. There is a difference.
