It won't make you sick. It's not that big of a deal.
Messy sex is good sex. If you're having sex you should be comfortable with each other's body fluids, and blood is one of them. And I find that sex or orgasms usually ease the cramps/nausea rather than accentuate them.
I've done it and I wasn't sick. I don't think that's possible. However, I didn't like it, I was just too self concious to properly enjoy the sex... :(

Sex during a woman's period has been said to feel better for both. Apparently it's a little warmer for him, and in my experience it feels a little better than usual sex! And it helps with the muscle contractions needed to rid your body of the blood. It's just a natural part of life. The guys I've been with didn't mind. But yes, don't use the good towels. lol

When a girl discharges there is a lot of bacteria coming out and this can cause infections. there is also soft tissue being released in a woman's vaginal wall and when having sex during a girls period this can push the soft tissue in places where it shouldn't be.
