Braxton Family Values 2:3 - Toni's New Doo Wop Chick

Time for another recap of the latest episode of WEtv's Braxton Family Values. You know, BFV keeps the ratchetness to a respectable level (actually, a solid 97 percent of comes from one person, Tamar) which makes the show very watchable. Kudos to the Braxton sistesr for being raised right. Hi, Evelyn!
So in this episode, Toni is preparing for a show she's doing in Indianapolis. I was hoping that by "show" she meant stepping into the quarterback position for the Colts, but no such luck. That's a pun actually, since Indy is still on its best Suck for Luck campaign. Anyway....here are 10 things about this episode that I felt were worth mentioning.

1. These girls travel between LA and Atlanta like there's a 30 mile distance between the two cities. I suppose that's what famous people do all the time. All I'm saying is their frequent flier miles must be off the hinges at this point. And that flight is no punk either.

2. Evelyn, my dear Evelyn. I love her. She's in her 60s getting her groove back. But that lunch was hilarious for all of the wrong reasons. For one, Gabe's ENTIRE focus was getting Andre and Towanda the flying CENSORED out of his house. Hell, I'd bet good money that he asked their waiter/waitress/waitperson if they had any open rooms because he's tired of the author's horrible relationship advice. Hi A Montellus C! And poor Doc basically proposed. You could tell mama Evelyn wasn't feeling that...right away.

3. Color me badd, but I can't imagine Tamar teaching anybody anything is a good idea. She drives me bonkers and I don't have to deal with her at all. I can't imagine her uber-extra-no-nonsense-kickyouwhileyourdownness would go over well in a teaching environment. And I'm right. She walked out because Traci was rusty as hell. And sensitive as a gangsta rapper from LA.

4. But in Tamar's defense, Traci ain't exactly have enough time to get the moves and got into her feelings a little too quickly. Anybody who's done anything entertainment related will tell you that you've got to take it all in stride.

5. Towanda is one of them people you want to be successful but ends up married to an author who goes by two initials and a middle name. I hope she does manage to break into television. I mean, how ELSE would Andre eat?

6. While I realize that Tamar is the reason many people watch Braxton Family Values, I'd love to drop kick her off of the Sears Tower one good time. I have a Tamar in my family. Coincidentally enough, she's the "famous" one in the family. I'd like to drop kick her as well. Bukkakke.

7 I'm as country as they come (on occasion) but I've never ever in my long legged life heard the term "hen piss". Never.

8. Tamar being called the "worst teach in life" by Toni was hilarious to me for many unknown reasons. I laugh every time I think about it.

9. I do love how Toni brought Traci back onto the stage to finish what she started and that she picked it up and succeeded. That's what family is all about right there. Actually supporting and being there for your family members and wanting them to make it. I can respect and appreciate that from Toni.

10. I cannot say this enough, but I absolutely love Trina. Like I have a real crush on her. Gabe, I promise to stay away from her so you don't think we have anything going on. But man, she's special. And she wears socks with martini glasses on them...because she likes to get it in. I'm all in with Trina. All. In. And she's SO inappropriate. I can appreciate a completely inappropriate woman in my life.

I can't wait until next week's episode where it looks like it's. about. to. go. down. I'm guessing that's where Vince gets fired by Toni and where Trina and Gabe have one of those come to Jesus moments where God has to intervene.

Habitual line steppers, FOR THE WIN!

See you next week!
