Why This Royal Wedding Might Be More Boss Than I Thought

Full disclosure here, on the list of things I honestly couldn't care less about in life, The Royal Wedding is definitely near the top of the list. Or was anyway. I mean, I'm not English. I never really followed the British royalty thing and frankly, the only Queen I ever truly thought was compelling was Latifah. Perhaps it's cultural. Perhaps I'm just a hater.

But I got to thinking (completely uncoerced by my bosses, by the way) and based on some of the outlandish things I've read and heard, this just might be a more boss wedding than I thought. Here are some reasons why:

1) I heard that Prince William wanted Snoop to perform

I assume this request was declined for any number of valid reasons, but the fact that Prince William wanted Snoop says to me that these folks are less snooty than I thought. They're all about the here and now. Snoop has been relevant since the early 90s for NO good reason. But somehow we all know and love him. Willy Boy, you're alright with me.

2) It might be nice to have another Prince to talk about...and one that doesn't wear onesies...publicly.

Granted, I realize that other people have been talking about these two (William and Catherine) for a while now so I'm out of the loop, but the only Prince I've ever really given a crap about was the tiny fellow from Minnesota who loves purples and took the Lil Wayne mantra of *CENSORED* every girl in the world to heart. Oh I also love Prince Akeem from Zamunda but I can't find it on a map so he might not be real.

3) On the radio this morning, I heard Catherine is rumored to be apart of some group called Killing Kittens, which isn't on PETA's hitlist but is more on, Heather Hunter's hitlist.

And you know what, any chick who joins a group dedicated to self-pleasure is alright with me. Though I'm guessing she'll have to leave the group now. You know, assuming she's actually down for the cause. That's hubby's job now. I do want a shirt that says "I kill kittens" though.

4) Jay and Beyonce are on the request list to perform now.

Like I said, they're all about current pop culture and fun. They stay winning with me. Charlie. I mean I'd like for them to perform at my wedding but chances are it won't happen.

5)  It's kind of nice to see some actual fairytale stuff play out in real life.

While I think 4am watch parties are insane, I get why so many women are all gaga (no Lady) about this wedding. It's some true life storybook stuff. This random chick is now royalty. That's pretty special and doesn't really happen everyday. In a fun way, that's kind of cute and cuddly. So I approve.

My name is Panama Jackson and I approve this wedding.

Haha, I like your take on the royal wedding Panama and it so great that you wanted to write about William and Kate (completely uncoerced by your bosses). :)

I read up on Kate holding up the privacy and integrity when they broke up a few years (?) back when she could have sold their story. I think that made me believe this marriage is going to work. I'm pretty sure William learned so much from his parents too. I wish them both happiness and love. Heck! I'll wish for them the same even if they were both commoners. ;)
