So the first photo of Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) in the Wonder Woman costume from NBC's upcoming TV series just hit the Web. Since we've discussed Wonder Woman's new outfit before, I figured you all would want to take a look.
Pros: The lasso and tiara are appropriately regal, while the bustier is appropriately, uh, bustier-y. A nice classic design, while still nodding to the new costume. (It's easier to fight crime while wearing pants.)
Cons: Those pants sure are shiny. While the comic book version currently sports dark pants, this Wonder Woman looks like she's ready to hit the club before punching out some bad guys. And I'm not feeling the blue boots. They're a bit more "stripper chic" than Amazonian warrior.
The new show (which is still in the pilot stage) is being produced by David E. Kelly and features Diana Prince running a corporation by day and fighting crime as Wonder Woman by night. Elizabeth Hurley also stars as some sort of evil CEO, and Cary Elwes (Princess Bride) recently signed on as a potential love interest for Diana/Wonder Woman. Since the creator of Ally McBeal is behind the show, fans are a little worried that Wonder Woman will spend most of her time pining over guys and tripping over her tiny high heels. While I'm not sold on the whole "Wonder Woman meets The Office" concept, this new photo is definitely intriguing.
What do you think? Would you watch a new Wonder Woman TV show? Or are you loyal to the classic Lynda Carter series? And who do you think should play Wonder Woman in the inevitable movie? Evangeline Lilly (Kate from Lost) is my pick.

Inverted crotch. Just sayin'.
Underwhelmed. Too shiny. Imposter. Not convinced.
All I can think about is how uncomfortable she must feel. I can only wonder how touched up this is. I was never into Wonder Woman so I won't be watching.
And Wesley will always be MY love! I can't imagine him as anything other than Farm Boy.
The pants are too light blue. What ever happened to "taking the colors of the nation she is ambassador too"? I'd be cool with the pants if they were royal blue or a nice basic black. Ps anyone ever see the JLA episode where all the female heroes are forced to battle in that gambling circuit? No one could beet Wonder Woman, all of them working together could just hope to buy time, and when they finally turn off the chip that was controlling her, she's literally aboutto bash in two heroes heads and all she has to say is: someone better have an explanation for this. Fabulous.
Great episode. I love Wonder Woman and Batman's relationship in "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited." That show is easily my favorite depiction of Wonder Woman outside of the comics.
And, yeah, I'd feel better about the pants if they were a darker blue. They look too shiny and costume-y.
I have to say that for the last couple of hours i have been hooked by the impressive articles on this site. Keep up the good work.
Good Stuff Thank you for the information
