Dressing for a first date is always tricky -- what sort of look do you like a lady to wear on a first date? Dress? Skirt? Jeans? Lots of cleavage? Cover 'em up? Overalls? Help! (Birthday suit, Cary?)

I tend to prefer a more comfortable look. As in, a look that doesn't make me feel like she's merely dressing up to impress me or the million other guys around that will take her attention should we tire of one another. And largely, it depends on the date. If we're going spelunking, well, those heels just aren't going to cut it, sister! And don't even get me started on if we're going to rob a bank or something as our first outing (you frown, but what's a better test of compatibility than if she's down for the cause? Hmm? Hmm?) then I'd prefer something dark and mysterious. And while I do like cleavage on the first date - and any subsequent dates - too much too soon can be an issue. Leave something to my outwardly vivid imagination, but hold off on the burka. Basically, do you. Whatever floats your boat, Dolly Parton.

When you go for a job interview, they tell you to dress slightly better than you would if you already worked there. The same can apply for a first date. Wear something comfortable that shows off who you are but is maybe a little nicer than your usual going out attire. And leaving something to the imagination never hurt. He's going to picture you naked whether you're rocking tons of cleavage or wearing a nun's habit.

Definitely something attractive, but classy. Dressing like a stripper is for the bedroom, but a business suit says just that, business. For any date, you need to wear what you're comfortable in.

I agree with all the guys on this one. A woman dressed as an LA Laker Girl is appealing and understated.

Doesn't matter to me unless it's something really bizarre and unexpected, like the date I had who showed up wearing slicked-back hair, a leather motorcycle jacket and black combat boots. I didn't know if we were going to dinner or a rumble with the Southside Sharks. Birthday suit is fine for the second date, Carrie. Speaking of.. when is ours?

Have had first dates at the movies, a circus, an art gallery, a gig (Iron Maiden) and a picnic, so it depends where we go, really. Just dress appropriately. Though I do prefer her to wear skirts, if at all possible, being a definite leg man.

I love dresses and skirts, so that's what I always wear on first dates. Because they're what I feel most comfortable in and make me feel like my best self. You should wear whatever makes you feel like your best self - whether that's jeans and a tank top or an Astronaut suit.
So why do guys wear a t-shirt with a bla band on it, for a first date?
mmmmh it doesnt matter bt girlzzzzzzzzzz wear somethng that makes u feel comfortable and free to do anythng by that moment
I love wearing skirts and my boyfriend love's when I wear them!
So please just feel pretty and they will see you as pretty.
