Actually I was in this boat myself (the guy John described). I have to say he is right on the money, but there is something I would like to add. At that chapter in my life I was finally taking control of my life and stopped feeling sorry for myself. I grew up poor and never had a father (really). So there was a lot of talks about feelings and normal things that I missed out on. In the end I felt subpar, but in retrospect I realized I was just as normal as anyone else. These type of guys...
