Originally referring to brothers, Billy and Stephen Baldwins' lower level talent and career status compared to brother Alec. The term now can be used to mean any out-shined or under achieving member in a known group.

Compared to the musical genius of Lennon, McCartney or Harrison, Ringo is one hell of a lucky Lesser Baldwin.
